Human Microbiome Action at MicrobiomeSupport Final Conference

Between the 27th and 29th of June 2022, the EU-funded project MicrobiomeSupport held its final conference with the title “Paving the Microbiome Way for Improved Food Systems”. At this high-level event, it was possible to engage with several relevant stakeholders and scientists from the field of microbiome and share the vision of our project. Joël Doré, coordinator of the Human Microbiome Action presented ways for the integration of microbiome science in improving future public health.

MicrobiomeSupport aims to boost structure and innovation in the microbiome field. The in-person event with over 100 participants from more than 20 countries provided the opportunity for face-to-face exchange with many relevant stakeholders. With John Bell, Director of Healthy Planet at the European Commission, describing the microbiome as “one of the great motors of change” and many other inspiring talks, the participants set sail to new challenges in planetary and human health.
